003 - In Love in Singapore

Aug 6–12, 2015

This is the date where she will be coming to Singapore for the 1st time.

Before coming to Singapore, she suddenly wanted to surprise me by having a new haircut. (Long to Short, see below:)

I miss her a lot even though our last meeting is in Jul 2015. I feel that it is sort of a meet your parents session (already met her family one month ago, now, it's her turn to meet my family.

Day 1 (6 Aug 2015, which also happen to be my mother's birthday.)

Pick her up from the airport after taking a half day at work at Certis (do enjoy my time there in 2015).

Along the drive, she is actually rather quite, looking at the sky, the road, the street and etc. telling me how clean and pretty Singapore is. Not sure if she is nervous about meeting my parents.

Unlike the last trip to Vietnam, this trips is rather smooth sailing. My family love her and have a good time talking to her. Everyone is really happy and we also celebrate my mother's birthday together.

Day 2 (7 Aug 2015)

Next morning, I start to bring her around (via cycle) CCK neighborhood let her try some of our 'best' breakfast in CCK (FYI, CCK don't really have much good, national level food, but it should be good enough) to introduce to her for the experience.

As far as i can remember, she tried to show the 'very tasty' look. But in the end, she failed as she feel that the taste is too strong and too oily. She had a really bad stomachache afterward. However, she is now (2019) able to eat the whole economic noodle by herself. I think the only mistake a made planning her trip is failed to factor in on her diet (her diet is the healthy and almost oil-free). This is because, the general diet in Vietnam are mainly soup and a little bit of grill.

Moving forward, I also managed to set up a meeting with her and my ploy classmate for a cycling event in East Coast Park where we cycle to see the last kumpung houses in Singapore.

Day 3 (8 Aug 2015)

Bringing her to Orchard, it a long day on that day as I always expected that, women love shopping and orchard road is consider to be the shopping paradise for women.

As you can see from the photo, she is not wearing a glasses. Meeting that she want to look good and take good pictures of herself. Unfortunately, I am may be a media/design student, but I am suck at taking photos for ladies.

Started the morning by bringing her to Macdonald for breakfast where after the trip, she told me that she don't really like Mac's food as they are really unhealthy and salty. Without knowing, I also have being avoiding Mac's food unless there is a new burger/item promotion.

Not really a lot of photos because she end up using her own phone to take self-ish for the rest of Orchard road and we move on to Clark Quay.

This photo was taken when I tried to show-off my knowledge. I explain to her that there is drawing on the boat is for meant to scare the fish away in order to prevent collision.

She wanted to try how beer tasted like in Singapore as compare to Vietnam (FYI, Vietnam's Tiger beer is somewhat more diluted as compare to Singapore). But what shocked her is the pricing for 2 beers and one plate of finger food. I already forget the price but I knew she was the right girl for me as she always keep a lookout for my wallet. ^^

Day 4 (9 Aug 2015)

Brining her to USS!

FYI, the umbrella is meant to shelter her from sun, not really rain.

FYI, for the photo on the right, she made that face because she is unable to enter the 'actual' USS. At the point of time, I feel that USS tickets are really expensive and it is already 2pm in the afternoon so it not economical to spend that much of money for a 1/4 day at USS. Of cuz I promise her that the next time she come back to Singapore, we will go to USS together (we did when to USS together thanks to Winson, we are able to visit USS for free.).

As a result, we start to roam around Sentosa instead.

Her trying out Singapore famous dessert Ice kacang and Chill Crab (She like it a lot!)

Although tired, but we still rush to Marina Square to watch the NDP fireworks.

Day 5-6 (10-11 Aug 2015)

She was so tired that she spend the whole day sleep?

Need to check as I ran out of photos.

Love you my dear!
